Had The Founders seen the future of the psychosis of the future, the simple addition of the phrase, into the 2A, " A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms OF A MILITARY GRADE AND TYPE, shall not be infringed".
Those few words could have stopped the NFA 34 and the GCA 68.
Simple, yes?
The reason behind the inclusion of the 2A was the prevention of the fascism we see today.
Fear the government that fears your guns.

Or even better, just go with: "The Right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." No reason to muddy the waters with any extraneous words.
Though adding "keep and bear arms of any type or kind the people wish to keep or bear..."
