Not only does the pandering alienate possible supporters, but the pandered-to, even when as lavishly preferred and honored as Powell has been, are almost never grateful. In Powell’s case, the pandered-to diversity paladin is not only ungrateful, he’s a back-stabber to boot.

Oh frikking woof. We should be used to frikking back stabbers by now. We seem to be, or we would have done what needs doing by now.
Treason was of paramount interest to medieval English kings. Not a few notables got their ears clipped or worse when they opposed the king. We can all appreciate that not all government authority is justly exercised but nowadays opposition to the nation, regardless of how treacherous and malign, doesn't cause even a blip of excitement in the ruling class.
If the nation is under traditionalist rule, I mean to say. If you so much as look sideways at the leftist monstrosities that are Sweden or Britain, then it's lobotomies, probes, and the chemicals for you.
